What do these three words have in common? Most people would say “They’re the most used Microsoft applications.”, but people who work in web design and any office job would say, at least along the lines of “These are the most imperative applications that any professional companies and businesses could ever dream of using.” So let’s dive into the importance of all three, starting with Microsoft Word.
Microsoft Word
Microsoft Word was introduced to the public on October 25, 1983, a whole 40 years ago! But why is it important to web developers around the world? Simple: it can make anything, instructions for a project, all the way to a complex flyer or brochure for a business.

Since it was released in ’83, Word has had 11 logos, each having some noticeable difference from the previous. From 1983-87, it was just text on a black background. From 1987-91, there were purple and yellow colors to make the logo pop out a bit more, and since 1991, there was some type of blue in the logo with a “W” standing somewhere in the logo.
